Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the first university established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999 The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.
About the Event
Legislative drafting helps students enhance their knowledge, implementation and interpretation of the law and nurtures their ability to identify the current challenges in laws and suggest solutions. This competition is a unique opportunity for participants to understand the importance of conception and implementation of public policies, as well as to tackle common dilemmas in striking the right balance between populist policies and realistic policies. This competition is a new initiative taken up the Constitution club which will be interesting and informative for the students.
Each team may comprise of a maximum number of 2 members and minimum 1 member.
All students who are pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses from any recognized universities are eligible to participate.
1. Proposed Legislation for improving Ease of doing Business in India
2. Legislation for ensuring full socio – economic assistant to the disadvantaged sections of society during pandemic Covid 19
3. Legislation for establishing effective and accessible public health services in India
4. Legislation from prompt and effective adjudication of trial in criminal cases having national implications
1st Position- CASH PRIZE of Rs.1200 will be awarded along with Certificate of Excellence.
2nd Position- CASH PRIZE of Rs. 1000 will be awarded along with Certificate of Excellence.
3rd Position – CASH PRIZE of Rs. 750 will be awarded along with Certificate of Excellence
The top 10 teams shall be short listed by an experienced panel of judges. The results will be declared on 28th of August, 2020. Those teams will be made to present their draft legislation before the esteemed panel on 30th of August, 2020, via webinar.
The teams might prepare presentations for the same.
Certificate of Merit will be provided to the Top Ten Participants (Excluding Top-Three).
Certificate of Participation will be provided to all the participants upon successful participation.
How to Submit

Citations should be in the form of footnotes with Font: Time News Roman, Font Size: 10, Line Spacing: 1.
In addition to the proposed legislation document, every team must include an Author’s Note (maximum 2 pages) as part of their submission. The note should summaries the proposed legislation and highlight the salient features.
The submission should contain two documents, the Author’s note and the Draft. Both need to be submitted in “.docx” format. The submission is to be made at email@example.com.
All submissions will undergo strict online plagiarism checks. Any Submission found to be plagiarized will be disqualified.
If the Board of examiners finds the written submission of a good standard then it’ll be published in the University Journal
