Due to this Covid-19 situation I applied for an online internship by directly contacting to sir on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/anil-sharma-b7929366 and he also asked me to send my updated CV on his e-mail ID anilduttsharma.ads.as@gmail.com.
Within one week I got confirmation over LinkedIn only and after that I was asked to join one WhatsApp group.
First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
On the first day of our internship, sir introduced himself and he also introduced us with all the tasks related to the internship. Later we also introduced ourselves.
The internship opportunity I had with “Sharma and Associates” was a great chance for learning professional development.
Main Tasks
During my internship I got to learn about various practical aspects of law and the legal field.
Sir also taught us the differences between civil and criminal law, court fee calculation, section 138 Negotiable Instrument Act.
The list goes on with plaint drafting, matrimonial disputes – section 498A of Indian Penal Code, section 304 IPC 1860, 125 Cr.PC 1973, major differences between section 125 of Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 and Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
In addition, live in relationship, some grounds of divorce – restitution of conjugal rights (RCR) and judicial separation under Hindu Marriage Act 1955.
Then learnt about some important documents required in divorce proceedings etc.
Also during my internship we had group discussion on regular basis and one debate competition on matrimonial disputes on the last day of our internship.
Work Environment
Work environment was very nice and it was convenient for everyone.
Good Things
Sir is a very down to earth person, he enjoys his profession and his way of expressing his views on legal topic is commendable. In addition, he has a great knowledge of law.
Bad Things
None at all.
Stipend
No not any, for me gaining practical knowledge of law in the legal field is more valuable than getting paid a stipend.
