Each of the speakers has carved their unique path and are winners in their chosen calling despite numerous odds.

About the Legal Career Conclave
A law degree is a gateway to an incredible array of career opportunities. You may choose to become a litigator, a judge, a corporate lawyer, a start-up analyst, a changemaker, an officeholder from the Bar Association or an educator or thought leader in this vast space.
We seek to provide you with a practical overview of a career-designing process that will help you draw out your own game plan. This workshop is designed to give you a broad framework on how to view career designing if you have a graduation in law. We will walk through the different stages of career development from you entering into a law school to you discovering your place in the vast ocean of opportunities people have discovered and made their own.
There will be a special focus on the typical journey that starts from a law school and ventures into various internships before landing at your calling. This workshop will attempt to decode and reveal personal insights into success in designing a legal career in this 21st century.
We will also delve into the ever-elusive skill of balance, and learn how to identify and nurture it right from the beginning of your law school as you set out on your trip to finding your own success destination. We will also examine the psychological barriers to give you a sense of why so many lawyers get stuck in the struggle stage and don’t make it through to a great place of success, contribution and meaning.
This conclave is a good starting point for not only those law students who aspire to practice law but for everyone who wishes to really optimise their career growth in the field of law or any allied domain. You can learn how to make a more informed, inspired and even transformative career decision to push yourself forward. About The Speakers
Mr. Ashok Arora has been a three-time Former Secretary at Supreme Court Bar Association and also been in the highest echelons in the legal profession. He has had a long career spanning over four decades and was referred to as the Gautam Buddha of 21st century in the legal profession by Late Shri Ram Jethmalani. He is passionate about being an educator, a motivational speaker and an author. He has represented dozens of clients from various fields – law ministers like Ashok Sen and speaker of the Lok Sabha, many chief ministers and Union ministers, many big corporate clients like Tatas, Birlas, Reliance, Hindujas, Apollo and Motorola.
Mr Anjan Dev is the founder of LegaRithm (legal recruitment firm) and graduated from University Law College in 2006. For more than 7 years, he has been a leading head-hunter in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. He is passionate about mentorship; resume building and young lawyers consult him in order to bag pre-placement and job offers from law firms. He articulates a unique approach to career-building which is a practice area and recruiter centric.
Mr. Harjeet Singh Jaspal is a Judge serving under the prestigious Delhi Judicial Services and is a 2009 graduate from IP University Delhi, where he was also the overall topper in the entrance exam and was a scholarship holder during all five years of college. He followed it up with a Master’s degree in International Trade law from National Law University, Jodhpur. In the year 2020, he was given the Award of Best Secretary (amongst all districts of Delhi) by Delhi Legal Services Authority.
Ms. Prabhsahay Kaur is an independent litigator at Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India. She graduated in Law from Amity Law School in 2008 and followed it up with her LLM from the University College of London. She is a leading independent arguing counsel and has argued scores of Public Interest Litigations on issues concerning child rights and human rights, in particular, child labour, bonded labour, child sexual abuse, right to education, missing children, and other issues pertaining to children. Even though she handles a diverse range of litigation matters, her focus has remained in human rights work, child rights and disability laws, particularly with respect to children with special needs.
Mr. Pratiksh Rai is a 2009 graduate of Amity Law School. In his previous avatar, he led a leading online legal education company as its Vice President and Chief Counsellor and counselled over 16,000 law students and young lawyers in addition to his team members day in and day out at the start-up. He meticulously tracks the development of the legal-tech space and seeks opportunities to share his personal views around the legal learning and up-skilling domain in India.
Mr. Rajat Sehgal is an Advocate-on-Record at Supreme Court of India Partner at Atharva Law and focuses on building the civil and commercial litigation practice for the firm. He is a 2011, gold-medallist graduate from MDU, Rohtak. Before pursuing his graduation in law, he chose to complete his Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University. He is an Advocate-on-Record at the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and is one of the sought after briefing counsels when engaging any top-most senior counsel of our country.
Mr. Ritesh Thusu is a Senior Legal Counsel, HSBC and graduated from Amity Law School in 2009. He joined the offices of Mr. Mohit Mathur, Sr. Adv. and started out by assisting in matters before trial courts and Hon’ble High Court. He received hands-on experience in conducting criminal trials, especially from the perspective of defending the accused parties. A transition was in the offing, as he moved into the in-house counsel role with DLF India. He asserts that despite being a corporate counsel, he remains a litigation lawyer at heart. In his current role with HSBC India since 2015, he has been instrumental in managing litigation and advisory portfolio for the global banking giant.
