About the UGC-NET Exam
The UGC NET Examination is perhaps the most important exam for postgraduates if they wish to pursue a career in academics in India.
Qualifying for the UGC NET Examination is a mandatory requirement for the grant of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), pursuing a Ph.D.,and, for appointment as Assistant Professors in colleges and universities across the country.
This examination tests the Research, Teaching Aptitude, and Subject Matter Expertise of young postgraduates.
UGC-NET 2021
When was the UGC-NET 2021 exam conducted?
The UGC-NET December 2020 & June 2021 (merged cycles) was conducted by NTA in 3 phases that panned over 18 days at 837 centers in 239 cities across the country.
- Phase I was conducted between November 20, 2021 to December 5, 2021
- Phase II between December 24 to 27, 2021
- Phase III on January 4 and 5, 2022
Results
The result of the UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 was released on February 19, 2022, on the official website of the exam.
