Lawctopus Law School & Aawaaz are organizing a 16-hour workshop on ‘Public Speaking’ from December 19-20 and 26-December 27. See the details here.
To give you a taste of what you can expect in the workshop, we are hosting a free and open Webinar to talk about public speaking and how to get better at it.
We would also be showing a demo of what our workshop will contain. So if you are someone who wants to improve your speaking, but don’t know how, you know where to be!
Public speaking is something that people are more afraid of than dying. After all, once you die you do not have to give a speech anywhere. Yet, it is the one skill that could make the maximum impact on one’s life.
According to Warren Buffett, it is the one skill that can alone improve your value by more than 50%.
As per Chris Anderson, founder of TED, public speaking matters more now than ever.
But the biggest question is – How to get better at it? Where do we practice?
That is why we are coming up with a workshop for you.
In the run-up to the workshop, we are holding an interactivewebinar to tell you more about what we intend to do. We will make a few participants join as panelists so that they can talk to us. We will also be doing some activities that require speaking. Our aim to make you speak through games.
We want to dispel the myth that there are “natural born speakers”. Public speaking is a skill that can be worked on, just like any other skill.
Aawaaz Education Services is an organization focused on public speaking, critical thinking, and general awareness. They have provided training to thousands of students in the field of public speaking.
They also conduct workshops on Debating, MUNs, Theatre, Dance, Photography, and Creative Writing to ensure that students are able to express themselves in ways that are most fitting to them. Their modules have been developed by experts from the University of Sussex, Teach for India, and the University of California, and have been implemented in some of the top schools across the country. You can read more about them here.
