The office is located in Badal Textile Market, Pur Road, a place surrounded by CA & Textiles offices. The office is easily accessible.
One has to fill the forms of confidentiality & then a laptop is assigned to the intern configured with the office Wi-Fi & network.
1. Research on a consultancy query – One is required to do the first hand research related to the specific provision that are being asked in the consultancy query. Mr. Vivek Ladha, the partner of the firm makes you understand the background of the case & then you are required to brief him about the provisions, notifications, circulars etc. that affects the related query.
2. Research for Books on GST authored with Taxmann – As the Partner Mr. Vivek Ladha is an author for taxmann, so I got an opportunity to research for his new book on GST Services with taxmann. The research related to the current developments under different services.
3. Research & Briefing regarding current developments in GST – The best thing I found was the partner himself mailing me the short notes regarding recent developments & I was supposed to revert back to him regarding the implications of the developments & having a discussion with him is always a thing to gain.
4. Discussion at the end of the day – Work is allotted to me at the beginning of the day & at the end of the day there was always a discussion with respect to the problems I faced while doing the work assigned in which various doubts related to the provisions are being cleared by the team. I feel this is a healthy exercise for any organisation as the intern always gets home with satisfaction.
Vivek Laddha & Associates is a firm-cum family in which the partner & the support team value our inputs and believe in educating and teaching the interns. The overall environment is very good for work & I never felt bored there is always a work to do. The only thing need is dedication.
Also If you are not able to do certain work allotted, you can easily walk up to them for a little head start and they will be more than happy to give you a lead to start your work on.
The Firm does not remunerate its interns for shorter period of training (mid/long term internship is always subject to stipend) but the knowledge & hands on experience one gains is more than sufficient to compensate for the lack of any pecuniary incentives.
