First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I directly went into the cabin of Kunwar Sir and had an introductory session with him. He gave me a tour of the entire office and introduced me to his associates, Mr. Neeraj Yadav and Mr. Gurjyot Sethi. It was a warm welcome and sir told me to always be around the associates and help them in every possible way apart from the independent draftings and assignments given to me. The infrastructure includes a separate cabin for sir and a hall for the associates and interns.
Researched on various propositions relating to Criminal, Civil, Corporate and Commercial Matters such as Code of Civil Procedure, The Indian Succession Act, Arbitration, Labour Laws, Consumer Protection Act, IPR including IP Enforcement, Trademark and Copyright Infringement, Criminal Breach of Trust, Murder, Cheating, Offences against Women, Cheque Bouncing, Legal Metrology, Mergers, Winding Up.
Drafted Plaints, Written statements, Applications, Replies, Rejoinders, Replications, Evidence by way of Affidavit, Bail Applications, Criminal Complaints and also prepared due diligence reports.
Apart from the research work, I also attended the hearings in High Court as well as in the Supreme Court, NCDRC, and Delhi and Gurugram District Courts.
The best learning was drafting for which I was complimented and that helped me in gaining confidence and developing my drafting skills. The work environment and the attitude towards interns define the internship in the best possible way.
The office is 5-6 Kms from Huda city centre metro station. Autos and shared cabs can be easily availed.
