All you need to do is drop an email with cover letter and an attached curriculum vitae to the HR’s mail ID. And do not forget to follow up. Keep on calling him to remind him of your eagerness to intern.
Duration of internship and timings
2 months, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. They were lenient on me.
I used to reach office at 10:00 (even 11:00 at times) and used to leave office at around 7-7:30 in the evening.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
There is only one word to describe the KPMG office and that is AMAZING. In fact everything was amazing. From my seniors to colleagues, partners to stationary guys, everyone were so friendly and cooperative.
I interned in the Legal and Compliance Cell of KPMG. My manager introduced me to my team members. It was like an informal introduction. After then they briefed me about the company.
I have heard my batch mates saying that big corporate houses don’t give work to internees and all that stuff, but the KPMG internship experience proved everyone wrong. From reviewing agreements to research work on new companies act, I did everything.
Work environment and people
Work environment at KPMG, Gurgaon was impressive. Sense of professionalism prevailed everywhere. Everything was simply perfect. People over there were experts in true sense.
They were skilled, proficient and qualified to do whatever they were doing. My team mates were very friendly and candid.
Besides work, they used to take me out for lunch. We all used to have lunch together.
The office had a massive cafeteria which served everything from Costa Coffee to bhelpuri, fruit salads to buffets and even south indian delicacies.
Cyber Hub is just walking distance from the office, and trust me you will never get bored over there.
They had Hard Rock Cafe, Starbucks, Nandos and a lot more. Ambience mall is situated a few kms away from the office.
There was nothing called bad in the office. KPMG internship being my first corporate internship, I liked everything.
Rs 5000 per month
I learned a lot about new company law, corporate etiquette which I’m sure will help me through out my life.
