First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The commissions office is located on the third floor of a building located in the PMG junction, Trivandrum.
On the first day you are asked to see the registrar as he explains to you the function of the commission and also what they expect out of you as a intern there.
After you the meeting with the register you are taken to meet the petitions where you can inquire about their complains.
They state of the art facilities with huge library of previous cases and very helpful officers
Main tasks
The main task is to talk to the petitioners and go through previously decided cases.
Every Wednesday’s you can sit through the hearing process and takes notes on it.
Work environment and people
The officer in charge of the interns is very helpful they are always available to clear you doubts.
It is a very positive and insightful work experience.
Best things
The best things about the internship was to listen to the problems of everyday people and how their rights are violated the hearings.
It was a very enlightening experience and you get to be familiar with the entire process.
Bad things
The only bad thing about the internship I could find was that the library was located two floors above and the lifts were non functioning at that time.
Stipend
There were not stipends allotted.
Biggest Lessons
You get be familiar with the everyday problem that people face and also how the commission functions and strive to safeguard the right of the people.

Stayed in a relatives house.
Office Timings
The office timing is from 9 am till 5 pm with a 1 hour break for lunch from 1 pm till 2 pm.
You are expected to be at the office at 9 sharp unless you have a very good excuse.
