The fee for the 2019 school is £950 (Rs. 88202.92). This amount covers seminar tuition and several lunch and drink receptions. Attendees will cover their own travel, accommodation and subsistence fees.
Limited financial assistance will be available in the form of scholarships for a small number of excellent applicants who would otherwise not be able to attend. You can find more details about this in the apply section.
Accommodation to suit a wide variety of budgets can be found in numerous parts of Paris. Applicants may consider looking at the Bureau de Voyages de Jeunesse (BVJ), which has various locations around Paris including one at Opera. Contact the KSSCT administration using the contact form if you would like suggestions for accommodation in Paris.
Applicants must provide:
1. An application letter of no more than two pages, outlining:
• Your research and intellectual interests,
• Why you would like to attend the summer school, and
• Which seminar program you would like to attend
2. A curriculum vitae (including details of teaching experience and publications, if any).
How to Apply:
Applicants should click here to register as an applicant and proceed according to the instructions. If the form does not load from this link, you can navigate to the University of Kent’s summer schools page (https://www.kent.ac.uk/summerschools/) and locate the form there.
A limited number of scholarships may be available in each year, in the form of partial fee waivers. These are allocated on the basis of financial need and the quality of the substantive application.
If you would like to be considered for financial assistance, please submit an additional one-page explanation of why this is required.
Applicants are also encouraged to be creative in finding supporting funds from their home institution. Consider whether there are professional development, research support, or ad-hoc funds available to you.
Dates and Deadlines:
The KSSCT operates a ‘dual deadline’ system. The first deadline for application is the 10th of February 2019. Outstanding applicants who applied by this date will be notified in mid-February, to enable early travel and accommodation bookings.
The second deadline is 18th March 2019.
All successful applicants will be notified by the 25th March 2019.
A non-refundable deposit of £250 (Rs. 23211.29) must be paid by 1st of April to secure a place in the summer school, and the balance of the tuition fee will be due by the 31st of May.

I am an army girl! In a barbie world! Keeper of 5 dogs. On a diet for now. Sometimes I might make punctuation mistakes, but I make up for it by bringing in a crore or two extra. What's more important, a misplaced comma, or a well-placed crore?
