Application process with contact details:

i applied with my resume and cover letter to this email address: email@kntlawoffices.com.  They get lot of applications so apply in advance.

Timings:

Office Timings: 10AM-7PM (Subject to an early reporting time if an intern is to visit any Ld. Court/Tribunal), Monday to Saturday.

Very strict about the office timings. Always had to be punctual.

Dress code:

Strictly formal- Black and white. On Saturday one could wear smart casuals. If you have any court or tribunal visit, then carrying a blazer is a must.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression:

The first day all the interns were asked to assemble in the conference room and Miss Tanya Ma’am gave us a brief about the firm and the work they do with a little introduction of their office atmosphere and work culture. She seemed very nice and friendly. All the first day nervousness went away.

Then we were assigned our work stations. The associates are always interested in giving work and very approachable.

If one is finished with work in hand, he can ask for some other work and should not wait for the work to get assigned to them. The associates are busy with their own work, so one should approach them to ask for more work. They would happily give you more work.

I completed several extensive research assignments on various aspects of broadcasting law, consumer disputes, competition law, proceedings under Domestic Violence Act, family law, IPC and  Code of Criminal Procedure.

Apart from the aforesaid tasks, went on several visits to Ld. Tribunals—Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, Hon’ble Delhi High Court and various District courts.

The visits to the Hon’ble Delhi High Court were particularly illuminating because they gave me insights on the functioning.

I had the good fortune to assist and witness High Court proceedings for TRAI and other channel dispute regarding the 12 min Ad-cap matter with Mr Sushant Chaturvedi. I witnessed the Additional Solicitor General presenting the case.

I also wrote an article on “Ambit of the word ‘Dispute’ under Section 8 and 9 of IBC” which was posted on the website of KnT Law Offices by one of the Associates Mr. Sushant Chaturvedi Sir.

Good things:

1. The best thing during the Internship was observing was the learning process while doing the research work given by the associates.

2. All the associates gave feedback for our work and acknowledged and appreciated the work. That feedback really helped.

3. The firm is located near Bengali sweets, Mandi house there are many food joints and places to ear nearby and it is very close to Connaught Place.

There you can find lots of places to eat and chill. Plus the office staff is very nice and humble, they will make tea and Maggy for you. You have to provide them with the Maggy and they will cook it for you.

4. There were 7-8 more interns with me, so we kind of decided among ourselves that who is going to take work from who unless the associates categorically assigns us with work.

I mostly took work from Mr Sushant Chaturvedi Sir and Mr Divyam Dhyani Sir. I really found these two associates very helpful and approachable.

I could ask them the same problem 10 times and they would still reply back and help me with a smile on their face. The work that I did really helped me a lot. I explored many more areas of Law.

The firm has not restricted itself with Telecommunication Disputes, and they have a variety of cases that we can work on and learn.

Stipend:

No stipend.
