Duration
My internship period was 1st June, 2015 – 15th June.
First Day
My first impression of the office was very good.
I got this internship through a personal contact.
On first day, I had a discussion with the Director of JTRI (Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sibghat Ullah Khan). He was writing a research paper in the field of criminal law. So, he gave me work to study about it.
The Institute is located in tranquil surroundings, spread over an area of 32 acres, away from the din and bustle of the city in Vineet Khand, Gomtinagar, Lucknow.
It was quite close to my house.
Main tasks
My main task was to conduct legal research on criminal law.
I was assigned to study about drawbacks in criminal law in India.
Environment
Work environment was very good with sir. The library was well stocked.
The Institute undertakes induction training for newly recruited probationers of civil judge (Junior Division) cadre and also for direct recruitment to Higher Judicial Service.
I got a chance to interact with junior division judges.
Best things
I got a chance to interact with many current judges and junior judges and senior lawyers.
It was great day for me and there is no work pressure. Khan sir is a calm person.
Bad things
I didn’t find any bad things about JTRI.
Stipend
No stipend.
Biggest Lessons
Interesting to interact with judges.
