The Government of Meghalaya also known as the State Government of Meghalaya is the supreme governing authority of the Indian state of Meghalaya and its 11 districts. It consists of an executive, led by the Governor of Meghalaya, a judiciary and a legislative branch.
The Political Department is headed by the Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya assisted by the Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner & Secretary, Joint Secretary and Under Secretary. The Chief Minister holds the direct charge of the Political Department.

A person who is or has been a Judge of the High Court or who is eligible to be a Judge of the High Court.

Application, complete in all respects along with latest Passport Size photo and duly signed by the applicants, must be addressed to the Additional Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Political Department and Convenor of the Search Committee of Lokayukta, Room No. 403, Meghalaya (C) Secretariat, Additional Building, Shillong-793001 and should reach latest by 4:30 P.M. on 3rd January 2020.
The envelope containing the application shall be superscripted Application for the Post of Judicial Member, Lokayukta.
