Peerpoint is Allen & Overy’s global platform for self-directed consultant lawyers who want to access the best work, clients, resources and bespoke support, whilst working on assignments with Allen & Overy or directly with clients as a legal consultant.
About Role and Responsibilities of Legal Consultant
- Typical assignments based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai are 6 months in length and there are flexible working arrangements available.
- Alternatively, consultants have the opportunity to undertake assignments remotely for clients based within Abu Dhabi or Dubai whilst being based in the UK, Australia, Singapore or Hong Kong.
- Legal consultancy can offer lawyers fresh and varied work in a range of in house teams and potentially within A&O practice.
Eligibility
- Have a minimum of four years’ post-qualification experience at a top tier law firm, ideally with some in house exposure either directly or via secondment
- Have worked on complex projects for both private sector developers and investors
- Experience within project development would be beneficial although not essential
- Experience in development financing deals and forward funding transactions would be advantageous
- Have excellent academic credentials;
- A practising certificate (or equivalent) entitles them to practice as a lawyer
- A consultant mindset – be resilient, open to experiencing new challenges and environments and be excited to develop their skillset and brand within the consultancy field
