The Centre for Rural Studies (CRS) is a Research Centre (under the Society Registration Act) which is promoted by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie and is funded by the Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India.
Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professor and Research Associate.
Details are as under:
Assistant Professor: (One Post)
Pay: Rs. 50,958/- per month consolidated salary (subject to annual increment based on CRS policy)
Nature of work: Research work in the areas of Land Administration and Management, Modernisation of Land Records, Land laws and policies on various land issues including land acquisition, forest land rights, etc.
Academic activities related to land and rural development, such as organizing workshop, assisting for academic Journal, preparing training material, and assisting training programmes undertaken by CRS.
Qualification: Post Graduation in Economics/ Social Sciences or in relevant subjects. Preference will be given to Ph.D. having specialization in quantitative method and UGC-NET/JRF qualified.
Experience: 5 years’ experiences in Teaching and/or Research in the area of Land Reforms, Poverty Alleviation, Rural Development etc.
Research Associate: (One Post)
Pay: Rs. 32,529/- per month consolidated salary (subject to annual increment based on CRS policy) Nature of work: Research work in the areas of Land administration and Management, Modernisation of Land Records, Land laws and policies on various land issues including land acquisition, forest land rights, etc.
Ability to understand processes of policy framing, legal implications of land laws, reading and interpreting legal cases and judgements will be given preference.
Qualification: Masters in Law (LLM) or LLB (Combined). Preference will be given to candidates having work experience in the fi eld of Land Laws or Land related Laws.
Experience: 3 years’ experiences in Research from Law/ Legal perspective and/or Teaching and/or engagement with Academic activities in the area of Land administration/governance and Land Laws.
Period of Employment: Till the end of 12th Five Year Plan i.e. 31st March, 2017 subject to further continuance depending on funding support and performance appraisal.
