How To Apply?

I mailed my CV to Sir’s e-mail id- in the month of May. Then I followed back once by calling to confirm the date of internship.

First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

My first day was good and to be honest, there are no such formalities. I did not go to Sir’s chamber since it was the lockdown period. So, as my internship draws to a close and I reflect back on all I have learned, I realize what an excellent experience this has been. I worked as an intern under Advocate Amarjeet Singh Sahni for 5 weeks and it was an online internship because of the lockdown period, so sir assigned me work from home only and i thoroughly enjoyed my internship and most importantly sir was well connected during the whole period even though it was the pandemic time and now i have very valuable experience under my belt. I learned more than I ever expected. Also i felt in the beginning that i would really have a upper hand being that i am a senior and have taken all my classes already but I realized that i don’t think any amount of classes will ever prepare you for all the world has to offer and i feel that sir did a wonderful job teaching me and helping me with the work and i feel blessed that i get to work under sir as an intern.

Main Tasks

Generally, my basic job is to research precedents and judgements for the cases which were pending before the court that sir use to give me. I had few minutes interaction with sir, where sir asked me about my college, how were online classes going etc. Soon after the introduction session I was informed that I would be given cases and scenarios on zoom meeting only and I had to read and search the related judgements and then mail sir as well whenever I am done with work. And in the next meeting that is the next day I had to explain those cases and judgements to my Sir and then he asks me questions related to those judgements and he also give me sections to read and understand from IPC, CRPC, Domestic Violence Act, Family law.

Good Things

My entire internship was amazing. Sir was very helpful not only during the time of internship but even after that. I have learnt a lot from this internship and it was one of my best internships that I had till now. Just some advice ‘Must intern here’. And during the last day of my internship I went to sir’s chamber to collect my certificate and then I met with the other associates there and they all were so welcoming and friendly which is a plus point which eliminated office vibes and brought positive vibes and energy during the time of work. Also, i don’t want to mention any bad things about this internship because there was none.

Accommodation, Commuting To The Office

Metro would be the easiest way to reach to Tis Hazari Court as the court is in front of the Tis Hazari Metro Station.
