First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day we went to the RTI and there we were then introduced to the Deputy Secretary Tajeshwar Pandey. Then we were made to sit in the court proceedings to see how the cases of RTI are solved. We have a good interaction with Hon’ble Judges. we were also given theory session By Sir Effy, our Training In charge about the procedure and everything about RTI Act.
We were assigned a group task of taking interviews of women who had filed RTI in the Information Commission. We had prepared there case report. We were given projects on RTI Act and about the awareness of women for RTI.
The timings were 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM. Initially the timings were strict but eventually it got flexible.
There were few first day formalities. I representing my other team mates went to the training in charge. We were asked to submit an application mentioning the name of the college and the duration of the internship we were seeking for, letter of recommendation provided by the college and a passport sized photograph.
The infrastructure of the office is really good. Its fully air conditioned.
We were entrusted with the work of preparing a summary of the cases we were given by our dealing officer and then draft it in our projects.
Our training in charge had taught us everything about RTI which help us a lot in making our projects and enhancing our skill and knowledge. we were made to sit in the court proceedings to see how the cases of RTI are solved
Work environment and people
All the staff members were very helpful and friendly. We never hesitate in making queries. We have had Lunch time at 1 pm when every body use to have their lunch together. They also asked us to join and offered their eatables. The lunch time was the fun time for all.
The staffs were very helpful and friendly. After the completion of our works we were allowed to move back home.
The timing was quite good. By doing this internship I have quite a good knowledge about RTI.
This internship helped me increase my self confidence, enhanced my personality by taking interviews from people, and by interacting with them.
This internship is though good in the initial years of law school but overall it is not so productive.
No, it was an unpaid internship.
If one wants to gain experience working in a commission then can apply. I personally recommend that one must gain experience by working in such organizations in the initial years of Law school.
Being a low student it is very important for us to know about the procedure of filing RTI and by doing this internship one can quite a good knowledge an edge on RTI matters.
Any Other Thing
It is all over a good internship. One must do it.
My home town is in Lucknow. So I need not to stay in PG. I used to travel by city bus in order to reach RTI.
The timing was from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Earlier the timings were strict but later it get relaxed.
