How big was the office? Team strength?

The office was decent in size. There was a court inside the building where there was A Magistrate and two Lawyers under whom the interns were supposed to work.

Application procedure. Internship contact details.

I got this internship through a contact though interested person may contact the office directly.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

I stayed at my friend’s place but finding an accommodation is easy in Bilaspur at it has lot of cheap and reasonable PG’s.

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

I was very impressed from the very first day.

We were introduced to Mr. A.K Singhal who is the incharge of allotting work to the interns.

They would introduce you to the different authorities and different areas of the office, so that you do not get lost.

Main tasks

The interns need to follow a timetable where all the activities which are supposed to be completed by the interns are listed.

We visited various NGO’s, Central Jail and Juvenile Court and had a good time witnessing the Criminal Proceedings and interacting with the accused persons.

Work environment, people

Very comforting and absolutely friendly people.

They kept the interns busy by allotting them sufficient amount of work for the day.

Best things?

There were Legal Awareness Camps put up for the villagers in the remote areas as well as people in various Schools, Colleges, Hospitals etc.

We were taken to Tankha Memorial where we got to meet mentally unstable individuals and were supposed to speak and tell them about their legal rights.

Bad things?

Nothing as such but sometimes the field work can be tiring.

What did you do to chill?

There are small food joints and a Mall were one can go and take some time off from his hectic schedule.
