Application Process
I only submitted my CV to one of the lawyer, he took my interview and I was selected for the internship.
Duration of internship and timings
18th May, 2013 to 31st May, 2013
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The lawyer under whom I did internship was very good, working under him was a very nice experience, I don’t have much work but to attend all the proceedings and give him the report of what I learned , a brief summery.
First day he just informed me about all work which I would have to do in next coming days.
Main tasks
The main task given to me was to sit in the proceedings and make a case diary of 10 criminal case and 10 civil case and he also gave me some research work related to the case he presents.
Work environment and people
Under him at that time period, I was the only Intern so I get all his focus and I learned many things, the best part was that I have never seen any lawyer pleading in English in district court, he was the one who always pleaded in English with citing proper cases.
So it was a very nice experience working under him.
He was very learned and experience holder.
Best things
He took cases from consumer form also, so it was my good luck that I was interning under him, I also get opportunity to go to the consumer form, Varanasi and state consumer forum there also I got same work, but I was happy to go on a trip out of station for my case.
Bad things
The only bad thing was that it was little boring at times.
Yes it is interesting too, but doing research work on a daily basis would be a boring task for anyone.
Stipend
No stipend.
Biggest Lessons
I learned to listen cases very carefully, making proper notes with full concentration.
This still helps in in doing any research work.
