I lived at my relative’s place,

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

The office was loaded with books and files, giving an idea about the quantum of work and clientele. Formalities included introduction with the associates and a little discussion about what’s expected of an intern.

Main tasks

Court visits, Drafting, Research, Besides these, assisting the associates in courts and briefing cases comprised of the main tasks.

Work environment, people

The work environment was congenial. It wasn’t difficult to concentrate on work. The associates are very friendly and patient. They are willing to help and encourage whenever required.

Best things

The court visits were informative as well as entertaining. We got a taste of the skill required to argue well in the courtroom. We did a lot of court visits, sometimes even 3 in a single day which was very fulfilling.

Bad things

The conveyance to the office though convenient was always crowded .

What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues

We took breaks, had chats with associates and went out for ice cream during office hours.

Biggest lessons

I learned the value of industriousness and commitment. Despite all odds, one should be committed towards his duties which has a greater importance in the profession of law.
