How big was the office? Team Strength

The office of Singhi and Singhi Advocates was not huge but a spacious office with two libraries and a conference room.

The firm has three partners and nearly 10-12 associates.

Application Procedure. Internship Contact Details.

One just has to email their CV/Resume expressing their interest with a cover letter [as we all have learned from Lawctopus] to Mr. Anuroop Singhi at

The timing of our internship does not require any lunch time 😉 but if someone is hungry he can take permission either from Anuroop Sir or any Associate to go out and eat junks.

DO NOT forget to follow up your application.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

I stayed in a PG in Malviya Nagar which is around 3 km from the workplace and I commuted by auto rickshaw every day.

During the period of my internship there were only two co-interns so not much of an idea about the PG nearby the office.

First Impression

Singhi and Singhi is a very well known and highly recommended firm. I was very nervous as I entered the place the very first day. I was shown the way to the basement where I introduced myself to Anuroop Sir who was one of the partners of the firm. He then introduced me to his colleagues and the associates.

The library is quite a cramped portion of the whole building. Though, the appealing factor was that there were bare acts available almost of all legal subjects. The collection houses 100 volumes of reporters relating to taxation, law of contract, company law, constitutional law and criminal law. We were given files to read.

Main task

At the first instance, the interns are just assigned to read the case files in order to understand drafting and are asked to refer the sections involved in the case which at the end of each day are discussed by either Anuroop Sir or in his absence his associates. This helped us in understanding the research methodology.

Furthermore, after a few days you are asked to research on recent case law pertaining to certain judicial questions. I also drafted legal notices during the period of my intern.

Work environment, people

The work environment was very favourable. There is no overburdening of work though due diligence and seriousness was expected when one was given the work.

The people at Singhi and Singhi were extremely helpful, jovial and nice and if you are willing to learn, you should have no problem.

Best things

This internship was a very enjoyable and educative internship as a lot of emphasis was put on the interns and they were encouraged by the lawyers.

The generosity, simplicity, politeness and dedication of not only the associates but of Anuroop Sir are worth appreciation.
