Duration of internship and timings
10th June – 15th July, 2013
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
When I reached the office on the very first day, I first met Mr. Sandeep Maheshwari who sent me to meet Mr. Rajendra Prasad. I had a formal introduction with him whereby he asked me about my aim and about my learning from the previous internships. He then directed me to Sandeep Sir who then gave me a file to read (Criminal matter).
The main tasks at this internship were to draft the pleadings and other petitions (especially Special Leave Petition) and appeals for the different civil and criminal matters. We were also assigned the work to find the case laws and to read and make brief of the files. We were also taught how to list the dates, how to arrange the files and what should be the order of the file.
Work environment and people
The office has a very positive working environment. All the associates are very cooperative there and always work in the coordination. Interns are dealt in a very good manner there.
The behavior of Rajendra Prasad Sir was the best thing at this internship as being a AAG, he was very kind and humble toward all the interns and he used to guide us and discuss with us the matters of the court.
No bad things about this internship.
The biggest lesson that I learn here was that hard work is the only key to the success. There is only one religion of the people, i.e. hard work.
I have my residence in Jaipur.
The timings were from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. in the court and from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. in the office.
