Application Process with contact details
I got this internship through my college, although one who wishes to intern under Sir can go along with a CV and letter of recommendation and apply to his office situated at:
B-346, 10-B Scheme, Opp. Narayan Niwas, Gopalpura Road, Jaipur.
Duration of internship and timings
December 2013 – January 2014
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day of my internship, I reached the office at around 10.00 a.m. and was asked to meet Rastogi Sir who was there in his chamber. He asked me few question about me and my basic knowledge of law. That day being a non working day I was asked to go home and to come next day directly to the Rajasthan High Court.
When I reached the court the next day I got my entry gate pass prepared and went along with the Sir to attend the court proceedings.
The main task at this office was to read files and to do the research for the cases. We were being allotted work by the associates there at the office and we had to do the work related to the different fields of law like Civil, Service, etc.
Work environment and people
The work environment is not very strict. All the associates are very helpful and supportive. There is not any over pressure or burden over the interns. Rastogi Sir is very polite and very down to earth personality.
Being a renowned advocate in Jaipur, the office of R.D. Rastogi Sir provides an ocean of opportunities to see and learn from many typical and highlighted cases. An individual learns a lot when he witnesses such kind of high level cases and proceedings.
The only bad thing is the absence of Rastogi Sir, due to his busy and hectic schedule and that time you have to work under his juniors.
The biggest lesson learnt from this internship is that one should always be a down to earth person. One should not become arrogant when he reaches to the heights of success and should always be thankful to those who helped him to be at that heights.
The timings of the office were relaxed and were from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. in the court and thereafter from 5.30 p.m. till 11.00 p.m. in the office. Although interns were permitted to go by 8.00 p.m.
