First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the very first day I was asked to come to the office which was situated at 865, Barkat Nagar but now it is shifted to Tonk Road.
Then I was ask to write an application mentioning the time period of internship and my name, mobile, email address, residential address was taken by the Pappu Bhaiya who works as a clerk there.
Attending seminars, surveying, dharna, court visits, police station visits, child hole visits, visits to woman rehabilitation centres, learnt about MSSK, working on various issues happening in the state of Rajasthan, and all type of work is assigned where human rights is involved.
Work environment and people
We were like near about 80 interns at a time from nearly every reputed law schools of India. I have now a good friendship with them.
It was also a nice place to socialize and build contacts as being in the profession of law what actually matter is ‘Contacts’ and ‘Content’ which was in huge amount under the one umbrella.
The best thing about PUCL was that I learnt a lot of things which has been initiated by government, how they are working amd how it can be improved. PUCL took us to the depth of the problem by actually visualising it to us.
Had to woke up earlier in the morning to reach there at the given time.
You will actually learn something in practical coming out of from your limited books which does not have much scope until and unless you will know the ground reality ofthe Indian society.
I was staying at Bunkstop.
Usually from 9 in morning till no one knows. Its upto the Kavita Ma’am. I have worked like 9 in the morning till 2 in the night. But yes the work is so much interested that you won’t be tired.
