First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I reached the office a little too early as the office was still not open when I reached; what I didn’t know was that the office was open but required an ID to enter. As one of the peon saw me standing outside the office he opened the door and then I entered. I was very much excited as PSA is a very reputed corporate Firm and a little bit worried as they are very strict and discipline.
At first I was asked to wait at the reception and then I was allotted a table with a system. Rosy madam gave me an user ID and password so that what ever work I do is accessible to all the members. I was told by Mr. Ankush that at the end of the Internship I am suppose to give a presentation on any topic related to corporate Law.
I was also given a 2 page document which talked about how to write as in what to write, what format, and everything and I was told that it is going to be my bible for the next one month and each and every document that I submit need to be according to this format.
It is mainly research work on various Law points related to corporate field like Competition Act, Company Act, IPR.
Work environment and people
Work Environment is very disciplined and they only want original documents. You can just not simply copy anything from Google and submit it. They will scold you if you did that mistake.
People are not that friendly, but they help you to understand the topic on which you are suppose to research, good thing is you can ask them zillion questions to make your self clear as to what exactly are we suppose to search.
The most impressive thing about this firm is there discipline.
Moreover each and every lawyer gives you work to do and you are never going to sit idle. Also they only rely on case laws and nothing else.
Based on your performance at the end.
Be disciplined and never rely on articles as they are just opinions.
