Duration of internship and timings

I did for 30 days that is from 11th December 9th January, 2016

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On my first day Kavita mam was out of station and I was informed where to come through the whats app group in which i was added a day before my internship has to start.

I reached on time and there was a session on lgbt rights with Rituparna mam from one of the ngo’s in Delhi.

After the full day session all the new interns who had joined on that day have to reach office of pucl and fill three forms in which our all the details and necessary things we have to mention.

There was night surveys going on since three days and it was my luck that i also got a chance to survey on the roads of Jaipur, the pink city,on the same first day at night till 2 A.M.

Surveys were done by all the interns in the groups of five or six.

Main tasks

There is nothing as main task there.

Only main thing is that you have to be punctual everyday.

Work environment and people

Our president Miss Kavita Srivastava mam was harsh from outside but she has very soft corner in her heart for interns.

She has treated us like her own children.we had cooked food in her kitchen and had it with her 3-4 times.

Interns from all the colleges are accepted and no biasness is done on any basis.

Best things

Interns learn how to interact with lawyers, with police and also how to handle situations.

It’s also good for those who are not punctual any time as they will be learning this thing there.

Bad things

Interns cannot take any holiday without the prior permission of Kavita mam and for this you also have to submit a written application.

There is no exact time of reaching and going back to home.

No stipend

Biggest Lessons

I learnt to be punctual from there only as once I got 1 hour 15 minutes late and had it from mam.

Overall Rating

I had my relatives there but when students go to the office of pucl there is one sir Pappu ji who guides students for pgs and all and if someone reaches late in night or due to any reason is not able to finalize the pgs then he/she can reside in the office as office is also the home of president Miss. Kavita Shrivastava mam.

Office Timings

There are no office timings.

Interns were informed in the evening everyday before leaving that where they have to come next day and at what time.

As office is too small for 90 plus interns to accommodate at one time therefore Kavita mam has hired a hall on daily basis where all the interns have to reach when asked them to reach otherwise all have to go where asked them to go for different different tasks.
