About the organization:
Law of the Land is a tech-based startup that seeks to foster legal and policy literacy in India. We are looking for interns who can help us with research and content development for the product.
Nature/type/work of internship:
We are looking for interns to help us with research and content development for the product. Ours is a small team of Columbia University graduate students.
We are looking for students with strong research skills and a passion for the field of law, development and policy.
The internship will provide you with a valuable experience of being a part of a start-up team and a sneak-peak into the policy sector.
You may also be required to assist in field work, travel and conduct meetings, for which you will be reimbursed. In addition to internship work, we will be having a weekly check-in over the phone.
We believe that the total commitment for the internship per week will be about 20 hours or less.
The internship will be remote. Our team is based in New York, with our local partners in Bengaluru. However, the interns would be working from a distance as most of the interactions will take place over email/call.
Who can apply: Law students- third year and above.
Duration of internship:
The internship must last for a minimum of two months but may be extended beyond that. We will provide certificates from the firm, following the internship.

Please also send a short paragraph (about 300 words) on why you would be interested in the role. We would like interns to start work immediately.
