IIFT or Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is inviting applications for internship opportunities with its CTFL or Centre for Trade Facilitation and Logistics.
About IIFT
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is an autonomous public business school established in 1963 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. IIFT was conferred the status of Deemed University in 2002.
It conducts an autonomous entrance examination, named the IIFT Exam, across various centers in India, for admission into its Post Graduate Management Program.
About IIFT’s CTFL
Centre for Trade Facilitation and Logistics (CTFL) is set up by at IIFT contributing towards the best practices in Trade Facilitation & Logistics and share them with the industry for adaptation and adoption. This center has been established by the Logistics Division of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The center is deeply involved in research on various aspects of the Logistics Landscape. This center also carries practical-oriented applied research and desk-based research on different issues pertaining to logistics.
About the Internship
The center intends to engage Interns for this Centre at IIFT, New Delhi.
Duration of the Internship
Internship period: Minimum 3 months to a maximum of 6 months, with a flexible option of 2 to 3 days of engagement and carrying part of the work from home also.
Eligibility
- B.Tech/B.A Hons./B.Sc/suitable graduation (any suitable branch of Engineering/Law/Economics) and/or
- M.Tech/MBA/M.A can also apply.
- Candidates from other academic disciplines are also encouraged to apply provided they have a zeal to work towards the Logistics issues and opportunities in the logistics sector.
Interns’ Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to do the following:
- Carry out desk research,
- Compile reports and
- Assist for the ongoing research work & allied work at CTFL
Certificate
On successful completion of the internship, CTFL will issue a Certificate of Internship based on individual performance.
An honorarium will be paid to the interns during the internship, depending on qualifications, experience, and
duration committed (Maximum INR 10,000/- PM).
It is a rolling advertisement and selection will be on a periodical basis, however, for the first round of shortlisting, applicants must submit the CV through the link given at the end of this post, before 28th February.
