Editorial Internship Programme
Editorial interns are incorporated into the magazine’s editorial process, learning how The Caravan’s stories are identified, researched and written.
They learn to perform various tasks to assist editors with stories; primary responsibilities include duties such as researching, fact-checking, proofreading, transcribing interview material, editing online content, and compiling information about the magazine’s archives.
Editorial interns may also have an opportunity to write for various sections of the magazine, including the Lede, Photo Essay, Showcase and Bookshelf.
They are also encouraged to pitch stories for The Caravan’s web section, Vantage.
We are currently reviewing applications for a position that will be vacant in first week of August 2016.
