First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The very first day, I reported at normal office time i.e. around 9:30 Am. Then I met the Advocate and he later introduced me to other advocates and solicitors at the firm.
The firm is located in Gurgaon, which had the separate cabins for the partners and other area for the other members working in the office there was 1 conference room, and all the four corners surrounded by the books and Bare acts.
My main tasks were
• Drafting plaints, written statements.
• Drafted bank guarantee and undertaking
• Researched on various code of civil procedure laws and related cases
• Attended court hearing
Work environment and people
The work environment was very good. we were given a specific deadline on each research work I was assigned and have to report with it on time which may vary.
All the advocates were very cordial and were updated with lot of corporate knowledge.
There was lot of practical knowledge which one can gain.
The best thing was that one could learn all sort of cases whether civil or criminal.
Sometime the corporate internships become boring because of so much of research work
Its a quote where people say that what makes you a budding lawyer,is you yourself with the Punctuality which is the soul of business.”
All the senior as well as the junior advocates used to be at their cabin/desk at work with full energy.
