Krati Singhai. Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Punjab. 1st Year.
Name of Organisation, Duration of Internship:
National Green Tribunal, Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal. 1 month
First Day. Formalities and Impression:
You’re just supposed to go to the NGT office with a letter of recommendation from your college, a written application and your college ID card. After the registration process, we were directed to the courtroom where we were told to observe the proceedings.
After the proceedings, we were divided into group and different projects were assigned to us. The project was related to an ongoing case. We were asked to work on the case and give proposals and recommendations for the same.
The main task assigned to us at NGT was attending the courtroom sessions and making a project regarding an environment related case which is given to us during the internship.
The workload is very less. so I got ample time to work on my moot along with interning at the same time.
Also, the courtroom sessions at NGT are very flexible. We can learn a lot about environment law and environment related problems if we pay attention.
Plus, we get an opportunity to interact with many lawyers and increase our legal circle which is very advantageous for every law student.
You don’t get that typical “at work” type feeling while interning. The environment is very free and workload is very less.
