Duration of internship and timings
December 2014 – January 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
It was a typical government office, I was directed towards the Legal cell which was a small cubicle filled with the pile of files. Interns can either sit and work in their respective cells or can sit in the library.
Main tasks
Had to prepare reports on various meetings and conferences. Also, submitted a report on Dowry deaths and Rape cases.
You get to see the informal counselling sessions which are organised to resolve a family dispute.
Work environment and people
Work environment is very chilling, Most of the time interns are either chit chatting or taking selfies. 😛
There is bengali market very near to the office which is a great hang out place. Also, the office has a very good library.
Best things
There was no work pressure, no dead lines and no humiliations. The location of the office is amazing as it has Rajiv Chowk and Supereme court in its vicinity.
Bad things
There was nothing bad as such in this internship.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
All the government offices are not same.
