First day ,I was directed to see the Interns in-charge Advocate Sangeeth Raj, a young dynamic and a passionate lawyer in his thirties. He greeted me with a smile and explained about the functioning of the office and introduced me to various desk in charges of cases.

I was asked to prepare a case note and later he taught me how to counsel a client and prepare a brief. Then I was taken to the Library and the files room where they kept case files and other materials.

Main tasks

As I was in my fourth year they entrusted me with great responsibilities.

Firstly, preparing client briefs and drafting petitions. I was asked to accompany counsels and assist them in their court room functions starting from the lower RDO Courts to High Court.

The interns in charge asked me to kept a diary on court visits done and prepare a note on the cases. Every week the interns diary are evaluated and suggestions are given.

Later I was taken to Court Offices to describe how to get a copy application, files or other materials that is needed for conducting the cases.

I have entrusted to assist a counsel in a criminal litigation by finding case laws, preparing points to argue etc.
