Application Process with contact details
Applied with reference from one of my common friend working professional in Delhi.
Duration of internship and timings
June – July, 2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I leave for delhi on 6june as internship going to be started from 8th June.on 7th June after making arrangements of my room and all other settings I reached office at 9:00 am to meet Advocate Siddharth Nanwal, with whom I was in contact while applying for internship and made my presence.
Then I visited office and observed atmosphere in the mean time senior advocate Advocate Mohar Singh ji called me to introduce myself.
After a short meeting with sir I meet all other co-interns and associates and leave for home and informed them to joining from next day.
I started visiting high court of Delhi with Advocate Siddharth Sir as from last year I was intern to renowned lawyer Advocate Maneesh Bajaj in Amritsar after my college timing, that’s why I was known to most of drafting skills and other procedural works to be done in court for civil cases.
But I was not known about working of high court so I learned about presentation of criminal cases and granting of bail or quashing orders, suit for permanent injunction, suit for declaration and negotiable instrument cases.
Work environment and people
There were 15 associates working with that organization. All the staff was supportive including clerks.
All the co-interns was very hardworking. Office was in quite less space but I not bothered as all the associates were working in NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal) and other tribunals so they leave for their matters in concerning tribunal.
Best thing that I have found that they were specialized in multiple fields as there was a good scope to learn as learning is never ending process.
Not as such bad thing I observed.
Learned the art of litigation. I got very much hinds on advocacy.
Learned how to apply law apart from academics books and fascinated by the powers of judicial officers that giving a fair decision by Judge is so difficult as all that glitters is not gold.
Any Other Thing
I want to join for another internship in my next vacations.
Being resident of Amritsar, Punjab. I found some difficulties before reporting for my internship with this organization as it was going to be a new experience from small town to metro city.
I got a well furnished room with all facilities near old Rajendra Nagar which is known as UPSC hub area and office was approx at 20 minutes distance from metro from blue line to yellow line to red line.
At red line exit in front of that there was our office.place where I stayed was an area worth staying.
Friendly roommates I have got in Delhi and I found no problem for my meals while this duration and get all my meals at economical rates in Karol bagh market.
Office was was flexible but as per my interest in litigation I prefer to come at 9:00 am as the office opens and leave there till late. Sundays were off.
In duration of my internship I found myself very regular and did not take any leave from office.
