First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Being a law student the Advocates want all their interns to be in full uniform. This requirement depends upon the Advocates, some would not even bother but some would ask for this but it would be best for the interns to be in their proper uniform.
The interns were asked to join any chamber where proceedings are being carried on.
The interns should have their notebook to note down the case name and other important details of the case attended.
At the end of the internship period the intern has to prepare a file/project work which contain the details of the cases attended.
Work environment and people
Every intern has to first report to the in-charge and then immediately enter any chamber.
The Mediation and Conciliation center is silent and witnessed no disturbance during the proceedings. Also, there was no pressure on the parties, interns and the advocates as well.
The toffees and candies were served to the parties interns and the advocates as well.
The best thing about the mediation center is its proceedings. Both the party are given equal opportunity i.e. firstly both the party are heard together and after this one party at a time is heard.
The bad thing was the duration. Too short to have enough of cases in hand.
The interns had very less say in the mediation procedures.
The number of cases that are pending in the courts are many and today many would not want to indulge in costly and time taking litigation. Thus mediation also results in the settlement of most controversial disputes, which party and also the society needs. So, we may say more the Mediation more the Prosperity.
