First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

First day formalities:

Submitted a hardcopy of my CV along with my passport sized photograph.

Was asked to fill in my details in a register.

Was shown around the office.

Was given an introduction to the kind of work that was carried out at the office.

Good place to work.

Good kitchen.

Nice terrace.

Main tasks

The main task at MARG was research.

One had to research to write articles and to help people with their research.

Work environment and people

Work environment was comfortable. People were very friendly anf helpful. Co-interns were really helpful and had an amazing time with them.

People there answer your questions even if it is not related to the topic you are researching on.

Best things

Got to learn about the difference between the law that we read and the law that is applicable in real life.

Had discussions regarding latest issues like the odd even formula. In these discussions everyone was given a chance to present their point of view.

Bad things




Biggest Lessons

Learnt the art of researching and writing articles with proper footnoting.

For the researching part – learnt how to read judgments, learnt from where to find relevant material and how to use the material for the common people to understand.

Did not stay in a PG. Based in Delhi.

Office Timings

More or less the timings were relaxed. Generally the timings were 11 am to 5 pm.
