Maheshwari & Co. is a corporate law firm, it is indeed an enriching experience to work here as an intern. The environment of the firm is professional and one has to report on time in the office.
The work environment is really good, people are nice and there is no strain of getting acquainted with the atmosphere. They usually take 9-10 interns for a month.
The work allotted to the interns is mostly research based. The work I did was researching on various key aspects on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016. Research on the process of Filing of the trademarks, and Arbitration Law. Finding judgments relating to their on going cases. the work has to be done very diligently as they do not accept superficial work.
I was also asked to draft a reply on trademarks objection, a reply under order 1 rule 10 of CPC. and drafting a Mortgage deed. we were also given a work to research upon the process patent of the Generic Medicines under the Indian Patents Act 1970.
The associates generally allot the work and it has to be reverted back within a stipulated time frame. The associates are resolute concerning their work, and a laid back attitude towards work given is not at all appreciated in this firm.
There might be times when no work would be given but this is because of the number of interns that they take, so in this time one has to call and ask for work.
Internship in this firm is really good and one learns a lot after interning here. My experience here was very good.
There is no stipend but the amount of work done is interesting and one learns a lot.
