Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
As Bhopal is my hometown I stayed at my home. Bhopal, city of lakes is a beautiful city and capital city of Madhya Pradesh. There is no problem of accommodation.
You can get hostels very easily in M.P Nagar and nearby areas. You can get hostels with lodging and food facilities. Transport facility is very good. You can easily get public buses. Public transport in Bhopal is safe.
How big was the office? Team strength?
It was huge enough to accommodate more than 10 interns.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.:
Report on time. Sign in the register for the attendance. No issues with the attendance. We usually sat in the area provided for the intern and do our work which was given by the mentor who was allotted to us who was responsible for the interns.
As per the common thinking of interns that do not intern in MPHRC is somewhat relevant but if you really wish to do work, you can do it anywhere. We used to go by 11 am and sign and then most of the time we got bored there because there was not much work done.
Then we were divided in groups and we were given projects. I worked on the topic Right to Shelter. I went to the slums to research and survey about the topic.
We dedicatedly completed our project and submitted in the library for further research. We also visited courtroom of MPHRC and we had a seminar with the authorities. If you wish to do work only then you can do.
Work environment, people:
Not at all Hectic.
All the interns used to have fun. We have good places nearby to visit and good restaurants.
Time waste if you do not intend to learn anything.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues:
Hang out with friends.
