Application Process at LexOrbis IP Attorneys
You have to apply to direct HR department – hr@lexorbis.com
It is advisable that you apply 1 – 2 months in advance and keep following up with the HR head, Mrs. Heena Sharma over telephone.
LexOrbis – IP Attorneys, New Delhi have a very huge one floor building within walking distance from the Janpath Metro station.
The Internship experience was wonderful. This firm is known for their excellence in IPR issues.
They have various departments, Copyright, Design, Trademarks, Litigation and Patents. I was in the Patents department.
The work environment was relaxed and comfortable.
First Day at LexOrbis IP Attorneys
Ambience was good. I liked the place in the first go. Time to reach was 9 a.m there were a lot many interns and 3 joined on the day I joined. They work on mentor-mentee system.
She briefed us about the rules and regulations to be followed. She allotted us the Associate/ Sr. Associate as our mentors. We were supposed to report to them.
The HR representative at lexOrbis IP Attorneys, was pretty sweet. The quantity to work was less but the quality of work was very good.
I have drafted fresh patent filing applications as well replies to FERs among others
Good research and drafting work and Article/Blog writing for their website.
Mentors were friendly we reported to them through emails. My mentor was in patent department so I was exposed to a lot of things on patents.
It is located in Janpath (Conaught Place) easily approachable by metro. As I stayed in Preet Vihar so I traveled by Metro.
They provided us with snacks everyday and quality of food was good. We could have unlimited coffee.
Also a lot of food was available outside the office too.
Interns were allowed to leave by 6 p.m.
Best Things
They explained to me the entire concept before allotting me any work and most importantly they took out time to clear out all the doubts I had.
Although a mentor was allotted to me, however I was free to ask for work from any of the Associates, Senior Associates or Partner from the Patents department.
Unlimited coffee, comfortable and relaxed timings.
Bad Things
There was nothing bad that I could find except in at LexOrbis except for no stipend.
Biggest Lessons
One thing that struck me was no matter how high you reach in life, you should never forget your roots and loose humility.
The attorneys treated the interns with respect and they made sure that the interns feel like an asset to the firm.
