Duration of internship and timings
1st June to 28th June, 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day, all the new interns were made to sit in a waiting room after which Mr. Digant introduced us to the firm.
We were supposed to carry our internship certificates which were thoroughly checked. Then they asked us our preferences as to which team were we interested in. They had indirect tax, trade law, direct tax and the corporate teams. I was allotted service tax- litigation team.
Main tasks
Main tasks involved researching on various indirect tax matters. Also at the end of the internship we have to present on a issue allocated to us by our mentor.
Work environment and people
The work environment is friendly but since there are different floors, interaction is a little less.
Everybody leaves the office around 7:30 except when there is urgency.
Best Things
Friendly work environment.
