Name of the organization. City
Krishnamurthy & Co (K-Law), Bangalore.
Duration of the internship
3rd June to 28th June. Four Weeks.
How big was the office? Team strength?
The office is spacious and simple.
Since the office has been only recently shifted to Prestige Takt from Indiranagar, everything is relatively new.
There is a small recreation area upstairs where the office celebrates birthdays and treats. A very very windy place to sit and eat lunch with co-interns.
The team strength is around 30.
Duration in weeks. No. of days/week. Timings
Four weeks, six days a week. 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
I stayed at my grandparent’s place but there are many decent Pgs available around the area.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.
This office is a blend of both some associates are very formal and some are very very friendly and outgoing.
The interns are introduced to each and every member in the office which is an icebreaker.
Research on provisions, case laws.
Making a presentation at the end of the internship.
Help draft case opinions.
Suggest changes in agreements and other docs.
Work environment, people
Very very friendly people
Healthy work environment.
People are ready to devote time and teach you and clear your doubts.
The lunch hour is usually the time to socialize
There is young work force at play and, hence they understand the interns better.
They share their law school experiences with you and try to make the interns feel that they are a part of KLaw.
Once or twice a month, team members go out for dinner and work is strictly not discussed there.
You don’t need to run around for your certificate. A reminder one day before you leave is sufficient.
Bad things? (Nothing is all good)
I personally did not find anything bad in the office. It does get slack sometimes but that is mostly because the courts are shut in June.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues
There isn’t much to chill near prestige takt, but we interns did have our galore at Subway and McD which are at a walk able distance.
I would rate the experience 9/10.
