How big was the office? Team strength?

The office space is quite big and it’s a newly constructed office, covers one floor and is situated at 13, ring road, Lajpat Nagar.

The moment one enters there is a reception and waiting area followed by chamber of Managing Partner, work station area where interns work and a conference room with library.

Application procedure. Internship contact details

Personal contact basis and had a talk with Mohit sir before Joining the Internship.

Else you have to visit firms’ website to apply for Internship.

Duration in weeks. No. of days/week. Timings

4 weeks, Monday – Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm minimum.

The office time is flexible according to the pendency of work.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

The office is located at Lajpat Nagar (nearest metro station Moolchand) and as I live in Noida, I am familiar with the routes so finding the office was not that difficult.

Others can take an auto from Moolchand or Lajpat Nagar Metro station.

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

I was asked to come to the High Court directly on the first day where I was supposed to meet Mr. Kaushal, clerk for High Court.

He explained me the work, formalities and how the court works and about Mohit Sir and his areas of practice.

Thereafter, I met Mohit sir, he greeted me very nicely and took my brief introduction.

Main tasks

The chief task assigned to interns is research oriented and the firm handled multiple areas of litigation.

The research included subject matters like taxation, intellectual property rights, contractual dispute, arbitration matters, civil matters, criminal matters, property disputes etc.

Apart from the research work, they gave me some drafting work as well.

The research means not only to surf the internet, but to find out the relevant content and write it down.

Firm believes in perfection and that reflects how you understand the matter and brief it shortly to the associate in your own words.

The availability of legal databases such as Manupatra and library in the office makes the work convenient.

There were Court visits as well which helped me to understand practical and ground reality of litigation in different hierarchy of judiciary which really assisted me in choosing the field of law that I am looking forward in my near future

Work environment, people

Friendly work environment with efficient associates and a great leader,Sir ensured that the work allotted to every individual was happening on time.

Everyone, right from the Managing Partner to the associates makes a lot of time for the interns and it is ensured by the firm that one has an enriching experience out of this internship.

If you are unaware of a particular law they will teach you its application.

However, they do expect you to research on it prior to them telling you.

The Managing Partner personally takes a lot of interest in the interns and takes regular feedback from them regarding the work allotted to them. It is ensured that no one sits idle at the firm.

At the end of the internship one has to show what all work have you done.

Best things

Interning in a prestigious firm like Kings and Alliance law Firm is in itself a best thing. Apart from this, the work environment and the tasks assigned were the best things about the internship in the firm.

The most impressive thing about this internship was the hardwork that went with their work ethics. Have a doubt? An associate would be at you rescue.

Bad things

There is nothing bad about the place.

What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues

I did not have any co-interns. So there is no one to chill with.

Stipend/ month

Rs. 5000/ Month
