How big was the office? Team Strength?

The office is spread over a single room and is not too big, however is of a considerably comfortable size.

The Managing Partner of the firm sits at the Mumbai firm and was assisted by two other associates. There were two other interns at the time of my internship.

Application Procedure

One must apply at least one and a half months before the intended period of internship. One’s C.V. can be sent to

I got a confirmation within two weeks.

Working Days and Hours

9:30 am to 7:00 pm. Saturdays working.

First Impression

Since I reached the office a little early I was asked to wait by the office clerk. Once the Managing Partner arrived he called me into his office and gave me specific instructions about how work is carried on in the firm. I was to provide necessary details about my accommodation etc. and was immediately given a whole load of work to do.

Main Tasks

During my internship I was fortunate to be given a whole lot of drafting work. In addition to this I carried on research on various topics of the law. I was also made to look for a number of case laws which would be relevant to the dispute in question.

Frequent visits to the High Court as well as the District Court. I also visited in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.

Work on Civil and Commercial Litigation, Competition Law, Admiralty Law.

Work Environment

The work environment is brilliant. I never expected to feel so comfortable in a firm. Especially after facing hostile environments in corporate set ups in previous internships. The associates are extremely helpful and always ready to answer questions.

The managing partner is extremely helpful and never once raised his voice or got angry despite my making mistakes. If you work and carry out your assignments diligently, you will be appreciated.

Best Things

Frequent court visits and the friendly work environment.
