First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Being my first law internship, I was fascinated by the court proceedings. Sir explained about the court system and the basic procedures and functioning.

Main tasks

1. Researching for case laws on Criminal & Matrimonial Matters

2. Assisting sir in preparing briefs for proceedings before District Courts

Work environment and people

Friendly environment. Junior counsels also helped in bridging the gap between theoretical aspects of law and the actual situation in courts.

Best things

Practical aspects of the court proceedings- essential for a budding lawyer- were brushed. Shared awesome delicacies with the counsels.

Bad things

Nothing.

Stipend

None, but got few books on Criminal Trials and Evidence as gifts.

Biggest Lessons

There are no substitutes to hard work and knowledge.

Any Other Things

Highly recommended for initial phase of internships.
