Duration in weeks. Days of work per week. Timings.
Duration of internship was 30 days. No of days per week is 6 days and Saturday being a half day. Monday-Friday the timings are 9:30-6:30 and 1:30-2:00 being the lunch hour.
On Saturdays the timing is from 9:30-2:30.
First impression, first day, formalities
My first impression about the organisation was that I will be made to have some real experience in dealing with the legal issues. The first day was good as we were introduced to the basics of IPR by the person incharge of the Patents and then we were introduced to the director of the organisation.
The main task given to the interns there is to research into the various issues of IPR and then prepare a report of 8-10 pages which is to be submitted to the director over mail which he reviews and submits the feedback.
Work environment, people
The work environment is nice. The staff is quite supportive. They have a good collection of books on IPR.
The best things AND the bad things
The best thing was that the work atmosphere was good. And the worst things were: the 30 mins lunch break doesn’t suffice as there is hardly any good place to have lunch nearby.
Secondly the internet connection is not available for the interns and the interns are advised to have their own internet dongles.
Stipend this time was Rs 1000 per month or Rs 32 per day.
Accommodation etc. What did you to do chill in and around the office and the place of stay?
Accommodation is available at walking distance of 15-20 mins from the office. We were a group of 5 interns and to chill around near the office there are malls nearby for which one can avail buses easily from near the office itself. The place of my stay is well situated and Big Bazaar is at a walking distance of 5 mins.
