My internship coordinator was Advocate Ravi Malhotra who talked to me on phone a one day before.

He asked my to report next day on or before 10:30.

When I get there, I met my internship coordinator who explained my everything about the firm, how it works and what are the main agendas.

After half hour introduction, he handled me with a internship program guide according to which my whole month will be spent.

Main tasks

In accordance with the details about the internship mention in the program kit, my tasks were divided on the basic of weeks. I had 2 tasks which needed to be completed per week.

The task were either researching, writing, drafting or were based on interactions.

I had researched on many issues such as human rights, environmental crisis, climate change and global warming and also prepared writings on legal education and its growth, legal profession etc.

The drafting section in my internship program was to learn how to draft basic documents such as plaint, written statements, and other drafts. In overall, the internship work was basically a research on different topics and learning its different dimensions of growth and development.

Work environment and people

All the people in the office were really helpful. There were other juniors who were learning the procedures.

My internship coordinator was the main member whom I contacted each and every time and he was very helpful and kind and helped me in completing all the tasks successfully.

Best things

The best thing about this internship was I got to learn different ways of drafting.

I enhanced my research, read cases, prepared reports and written different research works.

The another best thing about this internship was that I was free to interact with associates and due to which I got to learn new and different things which were even not the part of internship program.

Bad things

There was no bad thing as such except non-payment of stipend.

Biggest Lessons

It was a great experience for me as I saw the corporate side of law in practice. This helped me in polishing and improving or enhancing upon my research skills. The most important thing which i learned was the drafting and presenting of your research.

Any Other Thing

Overall Rating

I stayed at my uncle’s home therefore accommodation was not a issue for me. But there are hostels available near Saket Distt Courts in South Delhi Zone where you can stay.

Office Timings

Usually the reporting time in the office was 10 but interns were allowed till 10:30.

The timings according to them were flexible and there was no strictness either from the side of my coordinator or any other person from ILA.
