First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
There wasn’t any formality because I came in when most of their people had gone on their vacations.
Since they were a little under manned they directly showed me to the cubicle where the interns sit and in the next few minutes I was given research work to do.
Main tasks
The interns are predominantly expected to do research on various cases and laws/acts.
You were also required at time to make case notes etc.
Basically you did anything to aid the associates finish their work.
Work environment and people
The people are very friendly and we’re always ready to help.
The associates were also very sincere and were quite particular about finishing work on time.
Best things
There was always enough work to keep you occupied.
The associates are great to work with and are verub helpful and very friendly.
As a 3 year law student who was more interested in learning as much as possible, saying having as much coffee or teas as you like might not have be appropriate but I must admit it was quite nice (the coffee does help you through your long day)
Bad things
Like most firms, the work is mostly just restricted to research.
Stipend
Rs. 4000 or Rs. 1000 per week
Biggest Lessons
To stick to deadlines.
Learnt the nitty gritties of efficient and accurate legal research.

Overall Rating

Accommodation
I stayed with my brother who stayed at Matunga road.
Office Timings
The official timings were 10 to 7. But no one kept a tab on when you came in and went out as long as work was done and the deadlines were met.
There were times when I came in at 11 am and left at 10 pm.
Personally I preferred staying as long as possible in the evenings as you get to learn a lot that way.
I am interested.
