I along with my co-interns were told about Greenpeace, through a presentation. We were explained our tasks and were introduced to the team heads.
I was part of the fund raising team. We gave presentations about work done by Greenpeace India, especially Maharashtra (as we were part of Pune team) and spread awareness on environmental issues.
As World Environment Day happen to fall in the middle of my internship, my team set up a workshop in a local mall, made paper bags, posters etc.on that day.
Work environment and people
All members of Greenpeace India, Pune team were amicable and supportive. They helped to learn and perform my tasks efficiently.
At the end of the month, the work of all members, employees and interns, is analysed. Interns were provided stipend only if performed beyond the set targets.
No bad things as such.
I improved my communication skills and confidence. I got to interact with all sorts people, men & women, old & young, working & non-working, people from different parts of the country. I also increased my knowledge on environmental issues.
I stayed in PG in Karvenagar with my cousin.
Timings were very flexible. Since I stayed alone in PG and the locations were usually far off, I was allowed to leave early. I worked from 10:30 am – 5:00 pm
