First impression. First day, formalities etc.

I had a good impression of the firm from the very first day. Interns are required to wear formals every day.

Main tasks

Researching. Drafting. Court Visits. During my internship associates at the firm kept me occupied always with research work and drafting affidavits, notices, applications and petitions as well.

First two weeks of internship we had court visits. Interns were allotted to associates daily and were required to assist them in court jobs. Interns could at times also be a part of client meetings, that was for me a good practical exposure. It helped getting a good insight into cases and helping the firm in any way as possible.

Work environment, people

Friendly and helpful people.

One could always ask them for help if were stuck on any point of law and had problems solving them.

Best things

Office atmosphere was quite chilled out. Interns were looked at as a part of the firm.

Mornings would start with normal newspaper readings, checking case status online on the websites, division of work etc.

Bad things

No bad things.

What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues

We discussed future career plans with associates who were kind enough to share their views, experiences and opinions. We also discussed various complicated cases, made notes along with the associates. Evenings at the office associates and interns chilled having cups of tea and coffee coupled with samosas which were yum.

Stipend/ month

No stipend.

Biggest lessons

Good exposure into the field of law. Internship at this firm can help a student learn a lot. Best part is it has no conditions of applying 6 months in prior or any other period of time. One can expect a instant reply.
