How big was the office? Team strength?
Office was magnificent. It looks really impressive and feels good to work at.
Team strength: 20 associates.
Application procedure. Internship contact details
One can mail CV at email@example.com but it is not necessary you can call them and then you will be asked about your college name and period of internship.
Thereafter, you will have small telephonic interview (It is just a formality and not a serious interview).
In interview you will be asked about what all subjects have you read and one or two questions. Irrespective of the fact you answer these questions or not your internship will be fixed.
Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
You have to arrange for accommodation on your own. I arranged for accommodation in a PG in Laxmi nagar which is at a walking distance from metro station there.
The office is situated very close to Patel Chowk metro station and as such there was no problem of accessibility and connectivity.
Accommodation was pretty good.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.
First day there is general introduction with Mr. Rajan Narain and the fellow interns.
You will be given some file to read along with a notepad and pen by the receptionist.
Interns are suppose to give there photographs for court passes.
Attendance Register is also there and you have to mark your attendance there.
I was asked to assist an associate in drafting the HR policy for the Indian office of a foreign company, review a Special leave petition and apart from it, my area of interest was criminal law. I was asked to attend the court proceedings in various criminal matters in Supreme Court, High Court and Family Court and assist the associates in research work while preparing reply statements and arguments for various criminal matters.
Other tasks involved attending court proceedings, going through case files and research work.
Work environment, people
Work environment is really nice. Associates are very co-operative. You also get to have coffee and popcorn as and when you like. Some scolding from Mr. Rajan Narain is part of daily affairs.
But make sure of one thing that whenever you enter Mr. Narain’s office, you should always have a pen in one hand and notepad in the other.
Lunch, Coffee and Popcorn with fellow interns, the work environment of the firm, friendly nature of associates and of course jokes of Mr. Narain
Too much meetings with Mr. Narain which go on for hours and where you may have to keep standing for long time because sir is very busy all the time and of course science there is no stipend you have bear the internship cost all by yourself.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues
Having CP in vicinity I along with co-interns used to explore the area.
